Puppy Health Guarantee

Care and records before departure

For new reservations agreed from October 30, 2026, each puppy comes with a veterinary examination, vaccination records, microchip information, food, and registration paperwork. Known health findings are disclosed before payment. We postpone departure when veterinary advice indicates the puppy is not fit to travel. A veterinary check records findings at that time; it is not a promise of lifelong freedom from illness.

Your first veterinary visit

Arrange an examination by a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours after delivery where an appointment is available. If that is not possible, contact us and arrange the earliest practical appointment. Bring the supplied records. An unavoidable appointment delay does not by itself cancel this guarantee. Seek urgent care immediately when needed and do not wait for our permission or an email reply.

Initial health coverage: 14 days

If a licensed veterinarian diagnoses a significant illness within 14 calendar days after delivery and provides findings that it was present before delivery, it qualifies for the remedies below. This includes a significant infectious or parasitic illness when those conditions are met. A condition specifically disclosed and accepted in writing before purchase is not newly covered by this voluntary guarantee, except where applicable law provides otherwise.

Congenital or hereditary coverage: one year

A significant congenital or hereditary condition diagnosed within one year after delivery qualifies when a licensed veterinarian documents that it materially affects the puppy’s health and identifies its congenital or hereditary basis. We may request relevant test results or a specialist opinion where reasonably necessary to understand the diagnosis. We do not require unnecessary testing or delay urgent treatment while a claim is reviewed.

Your choice of remedy

For a qualifying condition, you may keep your puppy and receive reimbursement of reasonable, documented veterinary diagnosis and treatment costs for that condition, up to the puppy’s purchase price, excluding the original delivery fee. This limit is the combined limit under this voluntary guarantee for that puppy.

Alternatively, you may return the puppy under a veterinarian-approved, safe arrangement for a refund of the puppy price and original delivery fee paid to PepperWhisker. We cover the agreed necessary return transport for a qualifying claim. A return is never required to request the keep-your-puppy reimbursement option, and no replacement puppy is mandatory. We do not require travel contrary to veterinary advice.

If a qualifying condition causes the puppy’s death, we refund the puppy price and original delivery fee upon receipt of reasonable supporting veterinary evidence. We do not require return of remains. These options do not limit broader remedies available under applicable law.

What this voluntary coverage excludes

Routine preventive care, ordinary feeding and grooming costs, and conditions attributable to events after delivery such as an accident or exposure are not covered by this voluntary guarantee. Cosmetic preferences, adult size, coat shade, show results, fertility, and a person’s allergy response are not guaranteed. An unrelated care decision or minor record omission does not automatically void a qualifying claim.

How to report a concern

Email us through the contact page as soon as practical, preferably within seven days of diagnosis. Include the puppy’s name, delivery date, veterinary findings, relevant records, and itemized invoices. Explain which remedy you are requesting. A later report does not automatically remove rights provided by law. We assess the evidence and explain the decision in writing; we do not require a positive review or confidentiality in exchange for a remedy.

Approved refunds or reimbursements are initiated within 10 business days after eligibility, amount, and any safe-return arrangements are established, or sooner where legally required. Save the policy version supplied with your purchase agreement. Nothing here excludes nonwaivable consumer rights.
